Partially blocked flue and repair

Redwood Stoves was asked to replace a well used multi-fuel stove and flue, after we had de-commissioned the old stove and flue we found the flue from the top of the stove and clay liners were completely blocked.
There can be a several of reasons for this, we believe the appliance had been burnt over long periods on a very low burn causing unburnt fuel to block the flue way.
.

We are about to unblock the flue with a Viper PE basically a motorised brushing system that uses a fast rotating chain to clean the flue ways. Notice the three inch air vent at the bottom of the picture, this will be connected to the bottom of the stove to give the correct air intake for the stove.

The new stove installed and ready to go, this is a multi-fuel Dunsley Yorkshire wet stove.

LPG gas stove installed by Redwood Stoves the model is a Harmony green wood fire effect stove.

Also we installed the balance flue and slate hearth all work was commissioned and signed of with Gas Safe by ourselves.

Graham and myself were involved in this twin wall flue construction in powdered coated black for a log boiler also installed by ourselves.

Below we have a Dunsley Highlander 8 wet stove, the fire place was remodeled by a builder that we worked along with, after it was plastered we installed the stove, flue, wet central heating system and heating controls.

The stove below is a Scan 8/2 Anderson waiting removal for the fire place to be remodeled, new slate layed and the stove to be refurbished, we will post the results when finished.

Inglenook

The job below was very interesting it started of as a normal, take the Parkray out make good and install a new stove, but I had a feeling the Parkray was hiding an inglenook fire place so the customer put their trust in us to investigate with great results.

It involved lots of digging.

and then some more, but as you can see it's slowly taking shape.

The inglenook completely bare ready for rendering, we first attached a wire mesh to the surface using screw fixings and Penny washes.

Then the real messy part, lime render.

Sorry about the quality of the picture this will be updated as soon as the customer has finished painting, but you can get an idea of the finished install, ready for winter.

Below is an installation of a Charnwood Cove with a log store. This stove has an integral boiler that has been connected to a thermal store providing hot water and central heating to 4 radiators. We also fitted a solar panel to the thermal store which will give the customer free hot water. the store also has a immersion heater fitted but no boiler.

This is a photo of the original fire place and surround before any work had commenced.

These photos start a little way into the installation, the existing fire has been removed the opening has been
enlarged and plastered.

On this occasion the hearth had a 50mm reinforced concrete plinth cast in place and then tiled with porcelain tiles and a dark gray grout.

This is the best bit, lighting the stove for the first time.

This is the finished stove installation, from this shot it is possible to see the the 2 28mm copper pipes that connect to the thermal store in the loft. The front of the chimney breast along with the ceiling and walls are going to be plastered by the builder on completion of his building work.
